The Exeter Sports Fund
The Exeter Sports Fund aims to help sports clubs and individuals in Exeter and the surrounding areas improve and develop their sporting facilities and performance. Formerly known as the Express and Echo and Exeter City Council Sports Foundation, the Fund awards grants to grass root sports to keep people active and help more enjoy sport.
About the Fund
The Express & Echo and Exeter City Council Sports Foundation was established in 2012 to support sports organisations and individuals in Exeter and the surrounding area. In 2016, with Exeter City Football in the Community and Active Devon joining, it has been restructured, renamed and relaunched to be able to donate more money to more worthy causes.

The primary objectives of the Exeter Sports Fund are:
•To raise funds and award grants in support of sportspeople and sporting groups in the Exeter area
•To help provide sport and leisure facilities which aid the development of personal performance and the development of sporting skills
•To help improve existing sport and leisure facilities in the Greater Exeter area
The grant system will distribute funds against applications made on line via the Fund's web site (insert). The Committee will meet quarterly to review progress, award new grants and plan future activity.
